The Professionals Party of India (PPI) as a registered national party with the Election Commision of India, may collect data, information from people all across the world. This information will be strictly used for the purpose of PPI activities like marketing, propagation, newsletters etc.
PPI will not sell this information to any private or public body in a commercial manner.
PPI will support any government of India laws and legal requirements of extraction and submission of data.
Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent and we expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
To protect your privacy, we have adopted the following principles:
1) Collection of Personal Information:
a) As a visitor to this ‘Web-Site’, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information. It is optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, ‘PPI’ may ask that you provide certain personal information (as well as certain non-personal information that may be tied to personal information), such as your first and last name, mailing address (including ZIP code), country of residence, e-mail address, employer, job title and department, and telephone and facsimile numbers.
2) Protection of Your Personal Information and Data Security:
a) If any of the ‘Service/s’ provided by ‘PPI’ on the ‘Web-Site’, requires you to open an account on the ‘Web-Site’, you must complete the registration process by providing us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted by the applicable Registration Form. The personal information that you provide in connection with registering yourself as a user of the ‘Web-Site’ or of the ‘Service/s’ is hereinafter referred to as ‘Registration Information’. Such Registration Information is protected in several ways
b) We have taken all reasonable steps to provide secure transmission of your information from your computer to our servers. All data submitted to our web server, is stored in an encrypted format. Encryption provides a secure means to protect your information as it passes over the Web to our servers, thereby striving to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing such information
c) The facilities that house our servers, network devices, backup storage media and other equipment and information are physically secured and attended.
d) Access is strictly limited to only those individuals who require it for legitimate business purposes (example: for system troubleshooting and maintenance).
3) Data Mining, Information Use and Sharing:
a) Personal Information submitted to ‘PPI’ via our on-line forms or e-mail is used to provide you with a response or service you have requested.
b) ‘PPI’ may also use all your data including but not limited to general demographic data such as age, sex, country/area of residence, etc. for advertising, promotional, research purposes, provided no personally identifiable information would be used by ‘PPI’ during these promotions.
c) In general, you can visit the ‘Web-Site’ without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.
d) Some of our web pages utilize ‘cookies’ so that we can better serve you with more tailored information when you return to our website. Cookies are identifiers which a website can send to your browser to keep on your computer to facilitate your next visit to our website. You can set your browser to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. We do not share personally identifiable information obtained from cookies and/or on you becoming a member of ‘PPI’, with any third party and/or person.
e) ‘PPI’ will not normally release your details to any third party except in case where it is required to comply with legal or law enforcement requests.
4) Your Choices with respect to Personal Information:
a) ‘PPI’ recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on the ‘Web-Site’ and in connection with the ‘Service/s’. ‘PPI’ will respect your legal rights regarding access to, and correction and deletion of, your personal information. ‘PPI’ may communicate information to you regarding services and special offers available from ‘PPI’ unless you have opted not to receive such communications or such communications are prohibited by law, although in such cases we may find it necessary to continue to communicate with you regarding your use of the ‘Web-Site’ and ‘Service/s’. In addition, you may receive communications and special offers from selected Providers (or from ‘PPI’ on behalf of such Providers), but only if you previously opted in to receive such communications. Except in the particular circumstances described in this ‘Privacy Policy’, ‘PPI’ will not provide your name to other companies or organizations without your consent.
b) There are other instances in which ‘PPI’ may divulge your personal information, such as when required by law, regulation, or litigation. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that such disclosure should be made for reasons of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance.
5) Log Information:
When you access ‘PPI’ services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit our ‘Web-Site’. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
6) User Communications:
When you send an email or other communications to ‘PPI’, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
7) Affiliated Sites:
a) We offer some of our services in connection with other web sites.
b) Personal information that you provide to those sites may be sent to ‘PPI’ in order to deliver the service and we process such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
c) The affiliated sites may have different privacy practices therefore we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
8) Links and Other Sites:
a) The ‘Web-Site’ may contain links to other websites *‘Linked Sites’+ that are not under the control of ‘PPI’ nor is ‘PPI’ responsible for the contents thereof. These Linked Sites are provided to you only as a convenience and it does not imply an endorsement of the Linked Sites by ‘PPI’ nor does it imply an association of ‘PPI’ with its operators. You acknowledge and agree that ‘PPI’ shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any content, goods or services available on or through any Linked Sites.
b) This Privacy Policy applies to ‘PPI’ services only and ‘PPI’ does not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results or links from within our various services. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.
9) Legal Disclaimer; No Warranties; Limitation of Liability:
a) The ‘Web-Site’ and all the contents hereof are provided on an "as is" basis. ‘PPI’, its affiliates and third parties associated with the ‘Web-Site’ do not make any express or implied warranties, representations or endorsements whatsoever with respect to the accuracy, completeness, correctness, timeliness or usefulness of the ‘Service/s’ and/or any opinions, advice, merchandise or other information provided through the ‘Web-Site’ or on the ‘Web-Site’ generally.
b) Unfortunately, no data protection method or a combination of different data protection methods can guarantee 100 % (hundred percent) security. We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, but ‘PPI’ does not assure or warrant its ability to do so. As a result you use our ‘Service/s’, contents and products at your own risk. ‘PPI’ will not be liable for disclosure of your personal information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.
c) As the ‘Web-Site’ contains references to Linked Sites controlled by parties other than ‘PPI’, ‘PPI’, its affiliates and third parties associated with the ‘Web-Site’ cannot guarantee that the Linked Sites will be available at all times. Furthermore we are not responsible for and do not endorse the contents or use of such Linked Sites, thereby we including our affiliates and third parties associated with the ‘Web-Site’, make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the Linked Sites or the contents thereof.
d) In no event shall ‘PPI’ nor our affiliates or third parties associated with the ‘Service/s’ and/or the ‘Web-Site’ be liable to any user or any third party for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or lost profits) resulting from the use or inability to use the ‘Web-Site’ or the contents thereof, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we are advised of the possibility of such damages.
