PPI demands fresh registration drive

Says many people from middle class left out of voters’ list

DNA Correspondent

The Professionals Party of India (PPI) has demanded that a fresh ward-wise ‘door-to-door’ drive be undertaken for registration and verification of voters in all assembly constituencies in Pune.

The party has said that there have been gross anomalies in the drive undertaken by election authorities.

As a result, a large section of the middle class has not been registered even after completing the formalities.

The party has demanded that the forthcoming elections to Lok Sabha should be announced only after urban middle class voters are fully convinced that they can actually vote in these elections.

The Professionals Party of India (PPI) is a new age political party that encourages the middle class to fearlessly participate in the political process to bring competent professionals into leadership positions in governance. Party believes that the change is possible only if the middle class comes out in large number to exercise their franchise.
