Binoy Samuel - Vice President

 

Binoy is an entrepreneur and is the managing director of a media design and strategies firm. He has over 16 years experience in the field of film and broadcast. A major in mathematics, moved his career to design and innovations. Binoy is also the chairman/president of a charity that takes care of street children in the western Maharashtra region in India.

 

An Electrical Engineer from IIT Khargpur with a post-graduate degree in electronics, DVR Rao worked for 21 years in the army and 13 years in Tata Motors before becoming a freelance engineering consultant.  He has undertaken projects in Algeria and the Philippines.  He has been a Zone Chairman in the Lions Club and is a member/president in 3 city based NGOs.

 

After a B.Com. From Calcutta University, Raja completed a diploma in Systems Design and Programming from NIIT.  He worked in various positions in the Banking and Technology departments of an MNC for 17 years; then served the IT industry for about 5 years in Chennai and Pune.  Currently, he is an independent consultant and an entrepreneur in the F&B Industry. He is interested in reading, making new friends and technology.

Murtaza Chherawala - Legal Advisor

 

Murtaza Chherawala holds Baccalaureate degrees in Commerce and Law as well as a Master’s degree in International Trade. He is the proprietor of a firm of advocates and corporate consultants, which provide services on various issues involving corporate laws, property laws, etc. Murtaza is a founder-member of HORIZON, a free legal aid cell for the disabled, a visiting faculty at the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, a panel advocate for the Spastics Society of India, and a member of the Rotary Club of Pune. He has served as a judge at various legal competitions, including at the Model United Nations Assembly, Pune.

 

Jayant graduated with a degree in Commerce from Modern College, Pune. He started working while studying and was associated with a construction firm for 8 years. He has been working as a Senior Executive in a Market Research company in Pune for the last 15 years.

 

Krishnakumar Iyer (“KK”) has 22 years of international IT experience working for organizations like Mastek, Siemens, IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers across countries like Singapore, Australia and the USA. He currently teaches in a top B-School and is in the process of setting up his own Training Academy to enhance the skills of IT engineers. He is a keen lover of sports, cricket and golf in particular. He is a lifelong devotee of Yoga and Pranayam.

 

A BE (Mech) & MBA, Girish has had his share of the corporate world having worked 12 years with multinationals like Saint Gobain & Krupp. He currently owns a premium Inbound Destination Management firm. Sundeep has a BE from Govt College of Engg, Pune, MS from Ohio State University, USA. He has about 10 years of work experience in Chip design in India and abroad. He is currently working as a Project Manager in a Semiconductor Company in Pune. His interests include reading, jogging, Adventure Sports, sketching, painting and photography.

 

A graduate from Elphinstone College, Mumbai in Political Science and Sociology, Jayashri is a trained media professional. After stints in the Marketing and Publicity departments of Union Bank of India and Crompton Greaves, she is enjoying being a homemaker at present.

R. Krishna Kumar

After his B. Tech. And M.Tech. In Electronics Engineering from IIT Bombay, Krishna Kumar worked for Tata-IBM for 3 years before co-founding a Business Intelligence software startup in the US. Returning to India after 5 years in the US, he currently leads technology operations for his company in India. Holder of an international patent, his interests include reading, jogging and trekking.

 

A Ph.D.  in Chemical Technology from the Technical University Berlin (West) and Univ. of Paderborn, Germany, Dhananjay started his career with M/s. Hoffmann La-Roche, Switzerland. He has worked in the chemical and polymer industries in India (Mumbai and Pune) from 1980 to 2002.  He is presently a consultant for chemicals and plastics. His interests include music, reading, travelling, technology and golf.

 

Dr. Bijlani has a bachelor''''''''''''''''s degree in Science, a Masters Diploma in Advanced in Business and a Doctorate in Business Policy and Administration from prestigious colleges of the Mumbai University.  He has over 30 years of hands on management and consulting experience in diverse businesses and locations in different parts of the world. He is a former President of Institute of Management Consultants of India. He is the author of five business books internationally published and has also written many articles. He has travelled extensively worldwide on consulting assignments and for presenting papers at seminars. He has created a charitable project in the memory of his late parents for the education of the poorest of the poor which is managed by concern India. Ranjit Nambisan

Ranjit has a MBA degree and has done a certificate course from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode. He has about 12 years of work experience in the field of Sales and Distribution, Accounting and Information Technology Consulting. He is currently working in a reputed IT company in Pune.

 

Dr. Kiyawat completed his MBBS from Indore, and his Post graduation in Neurosurgery from KEM Hospital (Mumbai). He underwent Neurosurgery training in the UK for four years. He has been practicing as a consultant neurosurgeon in Jahangir Hospital and Ruby Hall Clinic (Pune) since 1986.

Sunil Nanda

 

Born in Delhi on 16 September 1958, Sunil Nanda was raised in Roorkee. After schooling, he joined the B Tech degree program at NIT, Kurukshetra in 1974. On being selected to join the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla in 1975, he left his engineering degree to pursue a more patriotic career in the Armed Forces. Sunil was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1980 and served in it for 27 years. Sunil Nanda has also worked with a former Prime Minister, where he received his grounding in political affairs. In the social arena, he helped his parents in establishing a school and a charitable hospital for the underpriveleged sections of the community. As City Head of NCR for the Professionals Party of India (PPI), he is committed to building and presenting a clean and professional political alternative to the people of NCR.

 

Bangara retired from the navy in 2006 after four decades of service. The last two assignments he held were Commandant National Defence Academy (NDA) and The Flag Officer Commanding-in-chief of Southern Naval Command. He is a graduate from St Josephs College Bangalore, the Royal naval staff college, Greenwich- London, National Defence College and is an alumnus of John F Kennedy School of Harvard University. Currently he is a member of the Harvard Alumni Association of India and member International Institute of Strategic studies (London)
